Hypotension

Low blood disease or hypotension (hypotension) is a state where a person's blood pressure dropped below the normal rate, reaching a low value of 90/60 mmHg. Has been described in previous articles (high blood diseases) that the normal value of a person's blood pressure with height, weight, normal activity levels and general health was 120/80 mmHg.

However, some people may have a value of blood pressure (tension) from 110/90 mm Hg or even 100/80 mmHg but they do not / have not or rarely appeared several complaints mean, so it is perceived in ordinary daily activities. If the condition continues, supported by several factors that allow triggering blood pressure decreased significantly as a lot of sweat and urine, but less drinking, less sleep or less a break (tired of the excessive activity) and menstruation with excessive bleeding (abnormal), then blood pressure will achieve low threshold (hypotension) 90/60 mmHg.

Signs and Symptoms of Low Blood Pressure

Someone who has low blood pressure generally will complain often giddy state, frequently yawning and eyes sometimes feel less obvious (the firefly), especially after a long sit and walk, a cold sweat, feel tired limp, even experienced recurrent fainting.

On general examination beats / palpable pulse is weak, the patient was pale, this is due to the blood supply that is not the maximum whole body tissue.

Cause Low Blood Diseases

There are several factors leading to why the reduction in blood tension, this can be categorized as follows:

- Lack of blood from the heart pumping. The more blood is pumped from the heart each minute (cardiac output, cardiac output), the higher the blood pressure. Someone who has a disorder / disease causing heart abnormal heart rhythm, damage to or dysfunction of heart muscle, heart valve disease will affect the decrease in pumping blood (cardiac output) throughout the body organs.

- Volume (number) blood decreases. This can be caused by the great bleeding (wound tear, excessive menstrual / abnormal), diarrhea is not quickly resolved, excessive sweating, urination or excessive urination.

- The capacity of the blood vessels. Dilation of blood vessels (dilation) causing decreased blood pressure, it is usually as a result of septic shock, exposure by the heat, diarrhea, vasodilator drugs (nitrates, calcium inhibitors, ACE inhibitors).

Handling and Treatment Low Blood

There are several things you can do to improve the condition of lace blood pressure (hypotension), among others:

- Drinking water in considerable quantities between 8 to 10 glasses per day, an occasional cup of coffee in order to spur increased heartbeat so that the blood pressure will rise

- Eat foods that contain sufficient levels of salt

- Exercise regularly such as walking in the morning for 30 minutes, at least 3x a week can help reduce the onset of symptoms

- The women are encouraged to wear elastic stockings

- Provision of medicines (increasing the blood) is only done if the symptoms experienced hypotension truly disturbing daily activity, other than that doctors will only provide vitamins (suport / placebo) as well as some suggestions that can be done for the patient.

About the image that most people think that by eating meat from goats for patients with hypotension may increase blood tension is not clear, however, be justified if it will increase the content of hemoglobin (Hb) in blood. Once again it must be understood that the low blood pressure that is not optimal blood supply parts of the body. Hemoglobin (Hb) is low means that the content of hemoglobin as an oxygen-binding substances in the blood has low levels can result sufferers pale (anemia), dizziness (which in the transport of oxygen / blood supply to the brain or less), feel tired, and so on.

In the case of hypotension really needed medication, usually there are several types of commonly used drugs such as fludrocortisone, midodrine, pyridostigmine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), caffeine and erythropoietin.
